April 3, 2019 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting
Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.
Commissioners present: Joe Fugaro Bill Stellmach, Ed Sheehan, Bill Higgins, Ray Hughes
Chief’s Report
Chief not present.
Fire Prevention Report
Billy Schleck talked about issues he is having with some of the businesses and their Knox boxes. Commissioner Stellmach suggested Billy check with the cemetery in regards to their Knox box since they are upgrading their gates.
Ed Times is setting up a presentation from ESP which is the computer system in regards to upgrading our system. We also check with them in regards to the updated CAD system.
Treasurer’s Report, Commissioner Fugaro
See attached. The bill list for the month is at the firehouse on file.
Motion was made and seconded to accept the report. Motion passed.
Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins, Jr.
As was stated at the agenda meeting.
Commissioner Stellmach mentioned that some of the tile needs to be replaced in the small hallway and by the laundry. The extra tiles are there. Will need to call a floor guy to come in and do it.

We have 6 telephones that we don’t use anymore. This month we paid 252.00 extra for phones that are not used. We should address this. There are guys who are not using their phones and we are paying an extra $55.00 a phone. We also need to get a better plan. Commissioner Sheehan said he will look into it.
Personnel, Commissioner Fugaro

Commissioner Stellmach suggested to Commissioner Fugaro that he reach out to the Chief and tell him the importance of making these meetings. There needs to be some type of representation.
Trucks and Equipment, Commissioner Sheehan
I brought up the Chief about two weeks ago about some of the units being very dirty. Ricky is not having a special drill to clean the rigs.

Process for buying a generator for the SQAD has begun. Commissioner Stellmach is working on it.
Commissioner Higgins will talk to Nysky and the gas costs for the SQAD.
New Business
A motion was made and seconded to have Ernie come in and clean the rigs. Motion passed.

Schleck would like the write up he did for the Explorer be submitted to the Colonia Corner.
