December 5, 2018 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting
The Regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on December 5, 7:30 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.
Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.
Chief’s Report
The Chief will get the Commissioners the percentages for the month.
Tomorrow night is the tree lighting for the Colonia Business Association. They will be using the fire house generator and 12-2-1.
Firefighter Dwayne Bona asked for new boots. Commissioners approved the request.
Treasurer’s Report
See Attached.
A motion was made and seconded to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion passed.
Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins
Spinello plumbing was at the fire house and everything is ok.
Water and Hydrants, Commissioner Stellmach
Progress
Insurance, Commissioner Hughes
In the process of reviewing all policies and worker compensation.
Alarms/Radios, Commissioner Stellmach
Motorola sent a voucher to do repairs to doors. Cost will cost $998.92.
Commissioner Fugaro made a
motion to continue with the contract with E-Dispatchers .Motion was made and seconded to approve the contract. Motion passed.
Personnel, Commissioner Fugaro
Progress
A meeting will have to be set up between the Commissioners and new officers. They will meet in January in a closed session meeting.
Trucks and Equipment, Commissioner Sheehan
The tower is working.
Purchasing, Commissioner Hughes
All gear is in. The zipper was fixed on the one was broke and a new gear was ordered to replace the one that was the wrong size.
Old Business
A motion was made and seconded to go ahead with the bid on the generator for the first aid squad.
A motion was made and seconded to get new aluminum doors. Motion passed.
New Business
A motion was made and seconded to adopt the budget. Motion passed.
A motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:46 pm was made and seconded. Motion passed.
