October 3, 2018 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting

The Regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on October 3, at 7:35 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.

Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.

Commissioners present: Joe Fugaro Bill Stellmach, Ed Sheehan, Bill Higgins

Commissioner excused: Ray Hughes

Chief’s Report

Commissioners have the percentages.

Vaulter will be doing fire prevention with Bill Schleck.

Firefighter Vaulter discussed the possibility of doing water rescue and training. He presented a proposal with an approximate cost of $4,400.00. Commissioners need to see if the money is in the budget.

Fire Prevention

Bill thanked all those who attended his mom’s wake.

Bill thanked the Commissioner’s for the purchase of the new fire prevention van.

Bill is working with Vaulter on Fire Prevention this Sunday.

A motion was made by Commissioner Higgins and seconded by Commissioner Sheehan to accept the Treasurer’s Report. Motion passed.
