May 4, 2016 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting
The regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners too place at the Colonia Firehouse on May 4, 2016 at 7:40 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.
Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.
Commissioners present: Ed Sheehan, Bill Higgins, Jr., Ray Hughes Excused: Jim Souza
Also Present: Chief Mackey, Firefighter Giardina, Firefighter Stellmach

Received a thank you note from the Higgins Family. It will be posted downstairs on board.
Chief Mackey
Commissioners have the percentages in front of them. The Chief will need to speak to three members. The computer was replaced in the Chiefs car. The Chief would also like to replace computers in engines and trucks.
The day-crew has to remember to turn the computers on and off every day.
Treasurer's Report

A motion to accept treasurer's report was made by Commissioner Sheehan and seconded by Commissioner Hughes. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Sheehan
Commissioner Sheehan went over everything in agenda meeting.
A motion made by Commissioner Hughes and seconded by Commissioner Higgins, Jr. to get the pole fixed that was damaged by the car accident. Motion passed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Sheehan and seconded by Commissioner Hughes to go out to bid to get the roof fixed. Motion passed.
Alarms and Radios
The gems radio was fixed in Chiefs car.

Going through an audit right now.
It will cost between $17,000.00 and $18,000.00 for all the units to be serviced.
Purchasing, Commissioner Hughes
Progress. Commissioner Hughes will look into the cost of getting new computers in trucks and engines.

Commissioner Sheehan made a motion and Commissioner Higgins seconded to put new freezer in firemen's room. Motion passed.
Motion to adjourn meeting was made by Commissioner Higgins and seconded by Commissioner Sheehan at 7:51. Motion passed.
