October 2, 2013 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Agenda Meeting.

 The agenda meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on October 2, 1013 at 7:37 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board member Bill Higgins, Sr. followed by a moment of silence for departed members.

Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.

Commissioners present: Jim Souza, Ed Sheehan, BillHiggins, Sr. and BillHiggins, Jr. Ray Hughes was out of town.
Also Present: Firefighter Chief Mackey, George Reilly (First Aid)

Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins, Sr.
The trim around the windows was done. Need to change the flowers outside. The tile downstairs need to be painted. (That will be looked into after the radio room is done)

Water and Hydrants, Commissioner Higgins, Jr.
The Water Company had their annual meeting tonight at the Avenel Firehouse.

Insurance
Ray is not here.

Alarms and Radios, Commissioner Higgins, Jr.
Will be talking about the radio room and we have two bids to open. Will also be talking about
purchasing a couple of radios.

Progress

Trucks and Equipment, Commissioner Sheehan
The adjustments were done. Mitch is starting to service equipment. 12-31 had the seat repaired.
The oil leak on the rig was repaired.

Purchasing
Ray is not here. Four out of the five guys went for their new boots.
Motion to adjourn meeting was made by Commissioner Higgins, Sr. and seconded by CommissionerSheehan at 7:41 pm. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
