June 5, 2013 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Agenda Meeting

The agenda meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on June 5, 2012 at 7:30 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.

Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.

Painter was here and did the stairwell downstairs and the steps. The only place that was not painted this year was the fire prevention room.

The agent wants us to test the ladder the truck. He will send us a date that they will do it.

A number of things were done this month. All the cars were checked out and major maintenance was done. The only one left to do is the Excursion and that will be done either tomorrow or Friday.

Commissioner Hughes mentioned that on 12-2 they noticed something coming back from a call and Vinny looked and it might be the air dryer. Also Mike said they just did the a/c on 12-31 and it is not working 100%.

Gave the list to Mike on the guys for the boots. He changed the list a little bit and Ray is waiting on prices. The boots are in stock.

Ray is looking at the prices on the helmets that the officers wanted.

Ray is also getting prices on the pass devices.

Old Business

Ed Sheehan handed out specs for the Tahoe. Woodbridge has the same unit and they said it is a good vehicle and pretty well equipped. It is a 2014.

New Business

Motion to adjourn meeting was made by Commissioner Higgins, Sr. and seconded by Commissioner Sheehan. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
