August 14, 2013 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Agenda Meeting
The agenda meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on August 14, 2013. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.
Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.

Received a nice letter from the police department on our assistance to them for this year’s boot camp that was held at the high school.

Had to change some bulbs that burned out in the hallway.

Had a couple of adjustments. 12-35 had a problem with the break line. Also had a gas situation with one of the vehicles being filled with the wrong gas which was corrected.
Commissioner Sheehan had a lengthy conversation with West Lake Auto in reference to the bill for the tow from RA to their place which is only four blocks away.
Commissioner Higgins, Sr. and Commissioner Sheehan put Pine Top down as a secondary unit where they can take the cars and ambulances there if they choose so they will probably be giving them some of the work.
Purchasing, Commissioner Hughes
Helmets are on order and sets of shield to match it.
Only two guys went up to get boots so far which they got already. The other guys who are supposed to get them have not gone yet.
Old Business
Commissioner Souza gave an update on the outside sign. Need to decide if they want to go with bigger sign or the smaller one.
New Business
The gutters at the first aid squad need to be cleaned out and they were looking to see if we could send a truck there to blow them out.
Motion to adjourn meeting was made by Commissioner Sheehan and seconded by Commissioner Higgins, Jr. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
