April 3, 2019 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Agenda Meeting

The Agenda meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on April 3, 7:30 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.

Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.

Commissioners present: Joe Fugaro Bill Stellmach, Ed Sheehan, Bill Higgins, Ray Hughes

Firefighter Garrett introduced new explorer to the Commissioners.

Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins, Jr.

Had a few issues this past month. The sink in the kitchen kept backing up. It turned out to be the grease trap needed to be cleaned out. Will try and get it cleaned out two times a year.

One of the urinals in the bathrooms needed to fixed and the sink needed a new faucet.

Locks were put on the doors going into offices.

They guy is going to come in for the bay door. He ordered the parts. He is going to fixed the hinge and put a new hinge on. He is also going to put a new lock on the door.

Water and Hydrants, Commissioner Stellmach

Flushing of the hydrants will start the 1^st of April. Nysky forwarded me the letter he got notifying the Township about it.

Mitch is working on a couple of things. Commissioner Sheehan is going to start the oil changes on the vehicles. He had a list of the things he wants done to the trucks during the day.

Commissioner Hughes stated that Valic is going to be her next Thursday for the new people coming in and anyone who has questions.

Commissioner Higgins mentioned that they are in the process of looking at the generator for the SQAD.
