Update on new candidates.
Academy was cancelled due to the weather.
Need clarification from the Commissioners on when fire fighters are and are not on light duty.
They need a doctor’s note stating that they are out on light duty and then another doctor’s note returning them to regular duty. They can’t get on an engine until they have a note stating that they can return on such a date from their doctor. It cannot be an open ended note. They need the return note. If you have to you pull their gear and tell them that is the way it is.
Commissioner Stellmach asked if the new cabinets were ready and the old ones emptied out. Chief said officer’s still need to go through old cabinets and finish cleaning them out.
Commissioner Stellmach also asked about how everyone did with their codes getting into the Knox boxes. The Chief needs to talk to Ed Timmes about who already has their codes. Commissioner Stellmach wants this done. It is going on two months.
The computer in the Chief’s car is not working. It has been hit or miss. They are looking into the problems with it.

Old Business
Commissioner Higgins – Last month we brought up the gas bill at the SQAD. Commissioner Higgins met with Pat Kenney today and every time they go out of town they are going to stop at Sewaren and top off the rig. If that doesn’t work then we will have another meeting and see what else they can figure out.
Commissioner Stellmach- In reference to the sidewalk and water issue and the step by the parking lot. Commissioner Stellmach met with the civil engineer. He is going to send a contract that I am going to sign and send back. He wants us to reach out to the County. He is going to put a plan together to fix the sidewalk and raise everything back up. With the Boards approval Commissioner Stellmach will sign the contract and send it back.
