August 9, 2017 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Agenda Meeting

The agenda meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on July 5,2017 at 7:30 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.

Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home news Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.

Commissioners present: Bill Higgins, Jr, Bill Stellmach, Joe Fugaro, Ed Sheehan,  Absent: Ray Hughes

Chief (Mike Novak)

Chief Mackey wanted to know the status of computer for the Chiefs office.

Radio straps are on back order.

Will be training with the rescue jacks at Colonia High School on Tuesday.

Justin - Fire Prevention

Commissioners have monthly numbers.

Chief Mackey got a quote on the fire extinguisher training. Would like to have it for fire prevention.

Justin would like to reach out to Ed Timmes so he could be set up to work from home. Commissioner's agreed it was ok.

Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins, Jr.

The spring on the last garage door is broken. It is going to get fixed.

There was a meeting for bid openings for the kitchen and bathroom. The bid was extremely low. Commissioners are going to have the lawyer and architect looking to make sure the bid is ok.
