July 3, 2013 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting
The regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on July 3, 2013. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.
Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.
Commissioners present: Ray Hughes, Bill Higgins, Sr., Bill Higgins, Jr., Jim Souza Eddie Sheehan

Laura would like to use a set of gear for the Ohio trip. (Commissioner’s had no problem)
They took on a couple of new people who are not from Colonia.
Everything seems to be going pretty well.

Thanked the first aid squad for when they came to his house. They were very professional and did a good job.
Chief’s Report
Mike had to last minute go and work at the fireworks so he didn’t have time to give me his updates.
Percentages are done and posted on the board.

Commissioner Hughes will call Lucas on Friday about getting a bigger nozzle for the pump.

The stuff the Chief requested and was approved is on order.
Old Business

The back of the building where the a/c is needs to be cleaned up. The water fills up back there and two holes need to be drilled into the knee wall.
New Business
Commissioner Souza, Jr.
He is going to look into prices for getting a double sided digital sign.
Motion to adjourn meeting was made by Commissioner Sheehan and seconded by Commissioner Higgins, Jr. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
