May 3, 2017 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting

The regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on May 3„ 2017 at 7:47 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.

Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home news Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.

Commissioners present: Ray Hughes, Bill Higgins, Jr, Bill Stellmach, Joe Fugaro and Ed Sheehan

Communication and Bills Chief Mackey

Progress

Commissioners have acopy of the percentages.

The Chief is still waiting to hear back from Schleck on the Fire Exit Prop. The Chief has left him two messages.

Chief Mackey is still working on the pre-plans.

The fire officers have asked for a desk top instead of a lap top. They are having trouble with doing their reports on the lap top and seeing it on the screen.

Pelossi needs access to the guys e:mails. He does not want to have to go through Timmes. Ed Timmes needs to give Pelossi permission so he has access to the e:mails.

Fire Company is going to the Fire Academy this month.

Wet down is going to be June 3.

12-1 is going to Avenel to do a stand-by.

Commissioner Sheehan made a motion to accept the Treasurers report and it was seconded by Commissioner Higgins, Motion passed.

Commissioner Higgins made a motion to get three bids for the bay floors and to just go with the lowest bid. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Fugaro. Motion was passed.

Old Business

Commissioner Higgins, Jr. made a motion to order kitchen equipment with Singer and store it. Commissioner Fugaro seconded it. Motion passed.

If there is enough money left over Commissioners would like to order the ice machine in the other room.

A motion was made by Commissioner Fugaro to purchase stuts Commissioner Higgins seconded the motion. Motion was passed.


A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 pm.

A motion was made by Commissioner Higgins and seconded by Commissioner Stellmach to accept Treasurer's report. Motion passed.

Downstairs is complete.

A motion was set to get another set of specs for the handicap bathroom.

Commissioner Higgins changed all the bulbs that were out with new LED lights. Wunder fixed a two way switch that was not working.

A motion was made by Commissioner Fugaro and seconded by Commissioner Higgins to re do all Hurst tools so they are compatible. Motion passed.
