August 8, 2015 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting

The regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on August 8, 2015.  The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.

 

Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.

Commissioners present:  Ed Sheehan, Bill Higgins, Sr. Ray Hughes, and Bill Higgins, Jr.

Excused:  Jim Souza

Commissioners have the percentages for year to date and last month.  Will go over personnel issues with you after the meeting.

Drill went very well last night.

Just what I spoke about at the agenda meeting regarding Rich Hanley’s radio.  We are waiting to hear back from Pinnacle on it.

Trucks and Equipment, Commisisoner Sheehan

Something Commissioner Sheehan wanted to discuss with the commissioners was about the last bay where all the cars are. He would like to take 12-33 and put it at the first aid building.  Need to tighten up the bay a little before much more damage gets done.

Purchasing, Commissioner Hughes, Jr.

Other than the air bags nothing right now.

A motion to accept treasurer’s report was made by Commissioner Sheehan and seconded by Commissioner Higgins, Jr.  Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
