March 4, 2015 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting
The regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on March 4, 2015 at 7:30pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.

Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park
Press and at Town Hall.
Commissioners present: Ray Hughes, Bill Higgins, Sr. and Bill Higgins, Jr. Excused: Ed Sheehan and Jim Souza
Communications and Bills
None

Firefighter Mackey introduced two new candidates. Will be introduced tomorrow at
Company Meeting.

Treasurer's Report (See Attached)
A motion to accept treasurer's report was made by Commissioner Higgins, Sr. and seconded by Commissioner Hughes. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.

Chiefs Report
Handed out percentages to the Commissioners. Mike Novak will be an acting officer.

Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins, Sr.
Purchasing new chairs for the hall was discussed in the agenda meeting.
Commissioner Hughes made a motion and was seconded by Commissioner Higgins, Jr. to look at chairs and order them. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.

Water and Hydrants, Commissioner Higgins, Jr.
Commissioner Higgins spoke about a list of possible hydrants in the Colonia district that might be frozen. He will be calling the Water Company.

Insurance, Commissioner Hughes

Alarms and Radios, Commissioner Higgins, Jr.
The rest of the radios were programmed. The Chiefs radio was fixed and the headsets were ordered.

Trucks and Equipment, Commissioner Sheehan
An appointment needs to be made for 12-2 to go to Absolute to fix the hinge on the door and have the license plate holder put on.

Commissioner Hughes reported headsets and cameras are ordered.
Commissioner Hughes will get back to Chief Stellmach about the generator at the First Aid Squad. Will let him know where they want to put it. The location is critical because that can add a lot to the cost.

Firefighter Giardia gave an update on grants.

A motion to adjourn meeting was made by Commissioner Higgins, Jr. and seconded by
Commissioner Higgins, Sr. at 7:46. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
