January 7, 2015 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting

The regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on January 7, 2015 at 8:23pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.

Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park
Press and at Town Hall.
Commissioners Present: Ray Hughes, Jim Souza, Ed Sheehan, Bill Higgins, Sr. and
Bill Higgins, Jr.
Also Present: Chief Stellmach, Firefighter Mackey, Firefighter Giardina, Firefighter
Caposiena, E. Giardina, (First Aid) L. Higgins (First Aid)


Chiefs Report
Chief Stellmach
A couple of guys will be getting called in for missing calls at night. Need a copy/printer machine in chiefs office.
A motion was made and seconded to buy a new printer/copier for the chiefs office.


EMS
Elaine Giardina gave Commissioner Souza the rent for 2015 and the December payroll. Laura received a letter from unemployment saying the first aid owes amount in back
taxes. Laura needs to call Braslow about what to do with the paperwork.


Treasurer's Report, Commissioner Souza, Jr.

A motion to accept treasurer's report was made by Commissioner Sheehan and seconded by Commissioner Higgins, Jr. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.

Alarms and Radios, Commissioner Higgins, Jr.
Commissioner Higgins is taking care of the wall in the back of the radio room. Calling
Wunder Electric to see when they are coming back.


Personnel, Commissioner Souza, Jr.
Went over issues during agenda meeting.


Trucks and Equipment, Commissioner Sheehan
Went over items during agenda meeting. Commissioner Sheehan will wait until the budget is approved before they do anymore more work.


Old Business
Will be going out to bid on 12-2. Commissioners will call the attorney.


New Business
Training on the new truck will now be a one day training class instead of two days. They need ten guys for the training class.
Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by commissioner Sheehan and seconded by
Commissioner Higgins, Jr. at 8:55 pm. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
