October 4. 2017 Colonia Fire Commissioners Agenda Meeting
The agenda meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on October 4, 2017 at 7:30 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.
Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home news Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.
Commissioners present: Bill Higgins, Jr, Bill Stellmach, Joe Fugaro Ed Sheehan, Absent: Ray Hughes
Working on getting reports in. Computers are down.
Guys who haven't gone to sensitivity training need to watch the CD.
Fire Prevention was an overall success. There was a good turnout. There are some areas for improvement that they will work on for next year.
Chris Neroda from District 5 would like to borrow the Fire Extinguisher Prop for Avenel's Fire Prevention. Commissioner's suggested that they only let Avenel borrow and not make it public they are letting them use it. It cost too much money to be lending out to the other departments.
Treasurer's Report, Commissioner Fugaro

A motion was made by Commissioner Sheehan and seconded by Commissioner Higgins to accept the treasurer's report. Motion passed.
Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins
Kitchen was started. Bathroom is in the process of getting done. Need to get the job moving along. The architect will have someone up here every day to make they are on schedule.
Wunder fixed the light on the flagpole.
Insurance, Commissioner Hughes
Commissioner Hughes is talking to the new contact for LOSAP. Will try and come up to a Company Meeting to talk with the guys.
Alarms and Radios, Commissioner Stellmach
Commissioner Higgins made a motion to send Freddie the Firetruck out to be fixed. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Fugaro. Motion passed.
Middlesex Water Company is having their annual meeting at the Avenel Firehouse on October 25 at 5:30. See Commissioner Stellmach or Commissioner Sheehan if you are interested in going.
A motion was made by Commissioner Higgins and seconded by Commissioner Fugaro to have Billy Schleck look into getting a new computer system for supporting the bureau.
