February 4, 2015 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Agenda Mtg.
The agenda meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on February 4, 2015 at 7:31 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.

Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park
Press and at Town Hall.
Commissioners present: Ray Hughes, Ed Sheehan, Bill Higgins, Sr. and Bill Higgins, Jr. Excused: Jim Souza


Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins, Sr.
We are having the backroom floor done and the walls painted behind the radio room once it is all done. Need to wait until Wunder is finished. Also need a date to go and look at floor before a decision is made. A possibility is doing the floor in the backroom then decide if they will do the bay floors.

Received a credit of $11,000.00.


Alarms and Radios, Commissioner Higgins, Jr.
Wunder is finally getting closer to being done in the radio room. The wires across the street on the pole were taken care of.

Trucks and Equipment, Commissioner Sheehan
The light on 12-3 was damaged and waiting for the part to come in. Oil changes were done on all vehicles except for 12-3-3.

Purchasing, Commissioner Hughes, Jr.
Everything that was ordered is in.


Old Business
Headsets- There are two options - all six plugged in $3,800.00 or five being plugged in and one wireless $4,226.00.
Commissioner Higgins, Jr. made a motion and seconded by Commissioner Higgins, Sr. to purchase all six headset being plugged in. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
A motion was made by Commissioner Higgins, Jr and seconded by Commissioner Higgins, Sr. to purchase and install seven rear view cameras for the vehicles at a cost of $1,147.50 per vehicle. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
Chief Stellmach is going to look into getting a price for a generator for the first aid squad.
A motion was made by Commissioner Higgins, Sr. and seconded by Commissioner Sheehan to go ahead and purchase the generator as soon as they are able to get a good price.
A resolution will be made to put the old 12-2 out to bid. He bids will be open at March
Commissioners Meeting.


New Business
Commissioner Sheehan said all registrations will be done for March for all the vehicles. Any inspections that need to be done the day crew will take care of.
Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Commissioner Sheehan and seconded by
Commissioner Higgins, Jr. at 7:44 pm. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
