The agenda meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on January 7, 2015 at 7:34pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.


Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park
Press and at Town Hall.
Commissioners present: Ray Hughes, Jim Souza, Ed Sheehan, Bill Higgins, Sr., and
Bill Higgins
Also Present: Firefighter Mackey, Chief Stellmach, Firefighter Giardina, E. Giardina
(First Aid) Firefighter Caposiena, L. Higgins (First Aid)


The Commissioners suspended the order of business to have Vince a representative from Armor Poxy give a presentation on the possibility of new flooring in the bays. The Commissioners are going to go and look at the flooring where Vince is a fireman.

Commissioner Higgins will be calling Wunder to find out where he has been. Needs to finish up radio room.


Personnel, Commissioner Souza, Jr.
Commissioner Souza has been calling Monmouth training academy (three times). Haven't heard back yet. Will ask Randy to help since he knows people there.


Trucks and Equipment, Commissioner Sheehan
12-35 the check engine light on has been coming on. Will be taking it to West Lake. Commissioner Sheehan said they will be doing some oil changes later this month.
The fan for 12-2 was shipped on January 6, 2015.


Old Business
Commissioners discussed what they are going to do with 12-2. They decided they will be going out to bid with it.
Commissioner Souza discussed the meeting between the Fire Company and the township in regards to the first aid building. Commissioner's had some problem with the verbiage in some paragraphs of the agreement. Braslow is making the changes and then will bring them to Nysky.
Commissioner Hughes is still waiting for prices on the back up cameras for the engines. Motion to adjourn meeting was made by Commissioner Sheehan and seconded by Commissioner Higgins, Jr. at 8:22pm. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
